  • How to Use MedCu Copper Dressings


    Cleanse and dry the peri-wound area thoroughly.

    Debride necrotic tissue if needed.

    Hydrate the wound if exudate is low or absent.

    Treat any infection according to facility protocol.

    Select the appropriate dressing size and format for full wound coverage.

    Peel open the sterile pouch from the top side to maintain aseptic technique.

    Aseptically remove the dressing from the package, avoiding contact with the wound-facing surface. (Orange Side)

    Apply the dressing properly:

    MedCu 3-Layer: Either side may face the wound.

    MedCu 2-Layer: Apply with the orange side down onto the wound bed.

    Secure the dressing:

    Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.

    Use fixation tape or a wrap to secure non-adhesive versions.
